Tundish dry vibration mix is widely adapted and promoted in carbon steel making. Magnesia dry vibration mass is characterized of long life, easy to turn package and low labor intensity. Even though it has high construction requirements, long construction time and some other other shortcomings, magnesia dry vibration mass has been widely promoted and applied in tundish.


The construction method is as follows.
(1) Before construction, hanging in the tundish into plate and remove residual steel. Then paint a little engine oil mixed with graphite In the middle of the lump sum vibrating mold the outer surface of the graphite and paste strawboard according to the standard.


(2) When the permanent layer condition reached a certain temperature, place sizing nozzle well block mould and impact plate.


(3) Put a layer of dry vibration mass into the bottom and make it flat with wood board. Then hung into the mould. The gap between mould and permanent layer should meet design requirement.?


(4) After placing into mould, pure into Tundish dry vibration mix evenly around the mould. The mass should fulfilled by one time. Turn on the vibrating motor on the mould. Then feed into vibration mass during vibrating. Vibrating time would be about 3-4 min. After the mass get hard, pure a small amount of water on the surface.


(5) After vibration finished, hung the tundish to sintering plate and sinter it for 2 hours. After cool down for 1 hour, move away the mould accordingly. (If hard to move, longer the cooler time)


(6) After the tundish cooled down to 100℃, install impact plate and impact slag, and smooth the gas with dry repair material supplied by manufacturer. At last, install tundish cover and stopper. After all this work, sinter the tundish on sintering plate. Then the tundish can be used.
