(Date, Place) Originally born in Toronto, Canada right after his birth, Anastasios Koularmanis had to move away from Toronto and relocate in Corona, New York. His parents were originally from Tripoli, Arcadia and both of them were deeply rooted with their Greek Heritage and traditions. They taught young Anastasios to deeply value the family as a unit and the community as a big family. So it wasn't a difficult decision when he had to shift away from a public school system to a private schools system. In fact, he was so eager to help his community that he did not wait for a long time to take the decision.

It was his family which taught him the importance of a teacher who would nurture children and also sacrifice certain things in life for the betterment of the community as a whole. Dr. Koularmanis also wanted to become a teacher do something for his community and learn about legal lawsuits.

His dream of becoming a teacher had taken its shape right after he completed his Bachelor's degree from Queens College in English Education. Soon he started teaching in some of the reputed schools like Hicksville High School and Franklin K. Lane High School. While teaching in the schools, he also got the opportunity to teach at the LaGuardia community college as an adjunct lecturer.

Meanwhile, Anastasios Koularmanis was garnering interest in the administrative departments of schools and colleges. He wanted to explore this department and thus went on to complete his Post-Graduation degree in Secondary Education along with a minor in administration. This course provided him the opportunity to become an Assisting and Supervising Principle in the prestigious Saint Demetrios Greek American School System in Astoria, New York. Here he served his tenure for more than 20 years and brought a lot of recognition and funds for the school's betterment.
