[DATE, PLACE] Started journey way back in 1992, Anastasios Koularmanis worked in the Department of Education for four years. In 1999, he was selected as the assistant principal of the prestigious Saint Demetrios Greek American School, located in Astoria, New York. In 2000, he was appointed as the principal of the school and since then, he is been working hard to improve the education system of the school.

As an educator, he wants to provide quality education to each of his students so that they can understand themselves well and others. He also wants his students to gain plenty of skills, understanding, and knowledge in the area of Greek Education. For this reason, he has prepared a rigorous and stimulating academic curriculum. This will allow the students to achieve academic excellence and learn about leadership, social and life skills. Doing so will help each of them to become responsible citizens of the country.

With all the decisions he has made till now, he has received plenty of support from his family. His wife, Mary Koularmanis has always been his pillar of strength. Dr. Koularmanis is also a father of two extraordinary boys, Ioannis and Demetrios Koularmanis, as he considers them his biggest gift. He is currently thankful to his family for giving him the support and push when he needed it and wants them to be proud of all his achievements.

During an interview, Dr. Anastasios Koularmanis shared a few interesting things about education. He said, “As an educator, I believe that students will blossom individually within their own given time. It’s because every child learns and understands differently, for which we need to look up to them as an individual, not as a group. Being served as an educator for 11 long years, I always aim to be fair and never waver out of my beliefs. My wife, Mary Koularmanis has always supported me and guided me through advice and tips. This has allowed me to provide proper education to all students with honesty and hard work.”
