Office workers, in one study, say that their top HVAC complaints are “too cold” and “too hot.” If the problem is due to a faulty HVAC, companies can go to Desert Star Heating and Air for HVAC repair.

[UTAH, 03/13/2018] — The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) released a study that looked at the most common cooling and heating complaints from office employees. The goal of the study, titled “Temperature Wars: Savings vs. Comfort,” was to determine the nature of the complaints as well as the building improvements and actions taken to make employees comfortable and focused on their work. Companies that receive thermal complaints from employees and have problems with their HVAC system can turn to Desert Star Heating and Air for commercial heating and air conditioning repair.

Common HVAC Complaints and Other Related Findings

Specific findings from the study include the following:

• The most common HVAC complaints reported by office workers are too cold (91 percent) and too hot (94 percent).

• Employees also reported other HVAC complaints, such as too noisy, too drafty, and bad indoor air quality.

• Building occupants responded to the thermal issues by using stand-alone AC units, using personal heaters, changing clothes, and using personal fans.

• Facility professionals responded to occupant complaints by encouraging employees to wear appropriate clothes, moving occupants, and adjusting the thermostat.

Fixing Commercial HVAC Problems

The Utah-based company has experienced technicians who get the faulty HVAC system back in order as soon as possible. Moreover, it offers recommendations in case the current system is inefficient or outdated. The goal of the technicians is to repair the system quickly so employees can be comfortable and productive in the workplace.
