Use Ergonomics at your workstation!

Posted Jan 28, 2015 by Backrxspinecare
Sitting actually puts more strain on your back than standing & many of us work in offices having to be desk-bound for most of the day.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Press Release) Jan 28, 2015 -- If you must sit for long periods of time, it is important to train yourself for good posture habits & an understanding of Ergonomics at the workstation early on to prevent developing neck, back pain, headaches etc

Ergonomics at the workstation is basically nothing but understanding how to use your workstation to your best advantage without stressing your body. This can be achieved by using a combination of the right products aligned correctly in your workspace, increasing awareness of body posture, taking frequent breaks & doing frequent stretching.

Your workstation is made of your chair, your monitor/laptop, your table, your keyboard & mouse & any other items of frequent use. An Ergonomic Workstation will be one which puts least stress on your body by itself & then you make it further Ergonomic by sitting well & stretching regularly.

Let's look at some important components of the workstation & how improving them would help your spine, your smile & help you go an extra mile!!

A well designed Ergonomic Office Chair has a perfectly designed back rest that helps you to align your spine with it & get support from it. Most parts of the chair are adjustable so you could customise it for your height & your workstation. This is one of the most important components of your workstation & getting this wrong will mean a lot of of bad mood, apart from back pain.

If you use a Laptop you do know it is not meant to be placed on the lap! Using a Laptop stand helps you to align your screen at eye level, preventing you to poke the neck out & lean forwards. Classic cause of neck pain. Laptop stand India is the simplest things to make life a lot easier.

Keyboard & mouse placement decide the angles at which your elbows, wrists & hands work repeatedly for hours. Using a Keyboard tray helps you to have adjusted your keyboard position such that you have a 90 degrees angle at your elbows & your forearms are more or less parallel to the floor.

If you are feeling more comfortable at work, you will work better & have a nicer day. Use Ergonomics!
