Medical jobs are divided into two main categories: doctors office jobs, such as medical records clerk, receptionist or medical biller, and actual doctor jobs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Press Release) Nov 19, 2014 -- Would you like to work in the medical world? You do not have to be an actual doctor to help people suffering from all sorts of health problems. Medical records clerks, receptionists, medical billers, all the administrative personnel at a clinic, hospital or other health care facility can prove very helpful.

Let us take the responsibilities of a medical records clerk as example. Clerks, secretaries, or assistants need to be computer literate and introduce medical data in a computer program or access various information on medical networks, to find out more about a patient's medical history.

Just like clerks, so medical receptionists are required to work very well with computers. Medical receptionist jobs are considered doctors office jobs, because despite taking place in a clinic or hospital, they are more like office jobs. Receptionists have the responsibility of welcoming patients, making appointments, and collecting money from patients for the services they have received at the health care facility.

Medical billers represent another profession included in the category of doctors office jobs. Those who practice this profession are responsible with billing patients. For this, they have to know very well the price of each service offered at the clinic or hospital where they work, and also the procedure of billing patients.

If you want to do more than just welcoming, billing or keeping patients’ records, you can always apply for a position in cardiology, rheumatology, neurology or other specialty. To be able to apply though, you need to have the right education and skills that recommend you as a suitable candidate.

For example, in the field of cardiology, doctors need to be able to understand any problem that affects the human heart and circulatory system. At the same time, they need to know how to solve the issue by recommending specific treatments. Another responsibility that any cardiologist has is to know how to work with ECG machines, heart monitors, and software programs.

Rheumatologists practice medical jobs that are usually related to older patients. This happens because they diagnose, treat, and try to prevent rheumatic diseases that are usually encountered in old people. Such diseases affect the joints and tissue of a person and generate osteoarthritis, back and neck pain, spondylitis and other disorders.

Other common medical jobs in the world of today's medicine are practiced by neurologists. The main responsibility of a neurologist is to diagnose, treat and prevent brain-related problems. Based on the tests that a neurologist conducts, a treatment plan is created, treatment that is meant to reduce the patient's symptoms or at least keep them under control.

All employees of a clinic, hospital or other medical facility have, besides their regular responsibilities, the duty of improving their patients’ quality of life through the services they offer. In the realm of medicine, all jobs are important.
