FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Press Release) Sep 22, 2014 -- At MVJ College of Engineering (MVJCE) the faculty and students are always passionate to “do engineering” by using advanced tools and technology. Among many finest technologies and tools, LabVIEW is widely recognized platform from National Instruments which simplifies the procedures and makes any project successful and accurate. (LabVIEW is a graphical programming platform that helps engineers scale from design to test and from small to large systems.)

MVJCE believes that research and innovation are important for engineering students. Keeping this objective in mind the institute intends to create opportunities for the students at campus, MVJCE has established number of Centre of Excellence out of which, NI LabVIEW Acdademy is one. Other such Centres of Excellence functioning currently at MVJCE are Microsoft, Quest Global, Infosys campus connect and Spoken Tutorial Project with help from with IIT Bombay.

MVJCE has been awarded LabVIEW Academy Award by M/s National Instruments of India on the occasion of NIDay 2014, at a function held in Bangalore, India on 18.09.2014.

A team from MVJCE also participated NIYANTRA 2014 - The Annual Graphical System Design Contest (National level) as one of the finalist. The project was entitled “Weigh In Motion & Automatic Signal System for Highway (WIM)”. The objective of the innovative project is to measure weight of the vehicle, speed of the vehicle and to classify the vehicle based on IRC classification, which will be an input for Intelligent Traffic Management System. The signal system at any traffic junction, will then synchronized with the WIM data.

The project enabled students in developing tools to solve real life problems pertaining to society. The outcome of the project gives a possible solution to our highway maintenance and traffic control.

Established in 1982, the MVJ College of Engineering Bangalore, the flagship of Venkatesha Education Society, imparts education beyond engineering and management. Situated on a 15-acre campus in Whitefield, Bangalore, MVJCE has state-of-the-art infrastructure, creating an environment for progressive learning and development. Visit at -
