— Students of photography and other enthusiasts are offered the opportunity to study at the well-known and widely respected London Institute of Photography. The Institute is known for the quality of their teaching staff and the various courses they offer to beginners and others with more advanced knowledge alike.
They design courses for those who are only interested in photography to be able to take decently good pictures of various subjects and the world around them, but they also aim their courses at those who want more than photography as a hobby. Many students use their time at the Institute as an important stepping stone towards further study and a possible career in photography.
Whatever your motivation, the courses are available to all, whether you have experience or whether you are a beginner. One of the courses they are well known for and which is eagerly attended concerns their Lightroom Training Course that helps the students hone their editing skills.
Digital photography, as opposed to the older, traditional methods, allows the photographer to work on his images before he stores or uses them. Certain processes are followed whereby you can remove some imperfections which was not possible to do in the time before the digital age. The Institute’s course helps the student to use the software of Adobe Lightroom to perfect their photographs.
The Institute believes that in addition to the basics of theory the student that gains from the practical knowledge and exposure to the proper techniques is the one that will get the most out of any photography course. Therefore they place such a high emphasis on the practical aspects.
The Institute’s Director Holger Pooten was quoted recently, “All of our courses have been popular this last year and they are well attended. One of those that I have found that attracted special interest has been the Lightoom Course. It is understandable because it enables the student to present a beautiful photograph with the minimum levels of imperfection. Therefore we are ready for students to enrol. The schedule is available on our website.”
The course, as is the case with all courses that they present, is designed to bring the student maximum knowledge and skills. It is presented by experienced, knowledgeable teachers who have studied photography extensively; some of them have worked as professional photographers in different countries and have gained great knowledge in their field.
The course is available to Beginners and is structured to last 10 hours. Students are required to bring their laptop with Adobe Photoshop CC 6 or 5 installed to be able to follow the course. Students learn every important aspect of editing during this course and they will be able to apply every important editing function once they complete the course.
At the London Institute of Photography (LIoP) the student has various choices in terms of his/her photography aspirations. Under the tutelage of experienced teachers the student is exposed to all the aspects of what advanced digital photography is about. Students can enrol for different courses, right from those meant for beginners to the student who wants to become a professional photographer. Flexible time schedules make it possible for attendance of courses on either a full time, or part time basis, and students receive instruction in small groups. There are also opportunities for one-to-one tuition for those students who are interested. LIoP is well known for their Professional Photography Course as well as for a number of Individual Courses.
