Summit to address the most pressing issues faced by government technology leaders

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Press Release) Nov 17, 2014 -- Today, the increasing role of governments in promoting a socially inclusive and citizen-centric model has gone hand-in-hand with the growing demands for transparency and accountability in all regions of the world. Such a transformation is expected to enhance the quality of life of citizens in terms of greater convenience in availing government services and therefore has resulted in increased levels of customer satisfaction and trust in government. However, there still remains challenges in reducing the digital-divide and increasing access to public services amongst 'non-internet' populations and distant communities within a region.

Realizing the need for an integrated offering of government services and prudent steps taken by Dubai, Fleming Gulf's 'Middle East Smart Government Summit' taking place between 9-10 December, 2014 in Dubai, will address the most pressing issues facing government technology leaders under a broader theme of smart government with smart governance. The summit will gather IT decision makers from across public services that include utilities, road and transportation, media and the police from across the region who will share their  experiences in improving government services, while networking with, and learning from their peers around the world. Topics and panel discussions will include 'ICT & Digital Citizenry - The Current Scenario', 'Empowering the Internet with Smart Governance' and 'Data Management for Smarter Governance', to name a few.

The summit has also garnered industry support through leading solutions providers such as IMEX Systems Inc., GET Group and AARB Management Services. From services that improve citizen satisfaction to state-of-the-art security and supply chain solutions, sponsors of the summit will showcase their innovative products and services tailored for a smart government system with proven results.
