Addressing Middle East Homeland Security Challenges

Summit will benchmark crucial issues related to emerging homeland security challenges in the GCC region

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Press Release) Aug 19, 2014 -- The ongoing crisis in the Middle East regions coupled by the dynamic political economies of the GCC states, needs to be underpinned by a new and broader approach to national and regional security. While strengthening internal cohesion of a region is necessary, creating more inclusive and sustainable policies to overcome the long-term security challenges faced by governments remain vital. Prudent governments have realized the need to further expand their security expertise and stay up-to-date on the various internal and external threats to its citizens.

Under the esteemed patronage of the Ministry Of Interior - Hashemite Kingdom Of Jordan and an inaugural address by His Excellency Hussein Al-Majali, Minister of Interior, Jordan; Fleming Gulf's 3rd Edition Middle East Homeland Security Summit will take place between 29th September and 1st October, 2014 in Amman, Jordan and will be hosted by the Directorate Of Gendarmerie - Hashemite Kingdom Of Jordan. The summit will benchmark crucial issues related to emerging homeland security challenges in the GCC region as well as highlight the necessary security-related preventive measures under the broader MENA region.

Major General Ahmad Ali Al Sweilmeen, General Director of Gendarmerie Forces quoted in an interview, "Jordan Gendarmerie is interested in gathering scientists, researchers and security experts at this summit to exchange ideas, build up security strategies and generate concepts and recommendations which can be incorporated into action plans by the regional security agencies to maintain peace in their homeland and provide security for its citizens and their future generations."

Sponsors of the summit, namely - Heckler & Koch Advantage, Explora Security Ltd, FSS Jordan, FireEye, Saab, Pinnacle Response Ltd., ISS Global, Culmen International, SkyDec and Infinova; will be participating at the summit to showcase their cutting-edge technologies, tools and practices that have bolstered homeland security solutions in the region. The summit will extend itself as a platform for internal security officials, counter-terrorism experts, drug-enforcement officials, border protection specialists, law makers and more, to assemble at a single point to share their first-hand experiences on the evolving security challenges in the Gulf region.
