Fin coils units can be used to regulate the air in a single room, and can also be connected to a duct system to serve multiple spaces.

Heating or cooling usually reaches each unit through the water pipes of the building...cold water provides refrigeration in summer, and hot water provides heat through water pipes in winter.

Each fan coil is controlled by a manual switch or thermostat. It also includes a fan, a coil, internal insulation (lining) and a replaceable air filter.

Some fan coil units allow fresh air to be introduced from outside. Since most fan coils are not designed to regulate outdoor air, they usually have no regulations to control the amount of outdoor air that can enter. The problem with introducing outdoor air is that in cold weather, the coil must be prevented from freezing. And in summer, these devices do not have the ability to handle the additional humidity that may increase. In short, the device is designed only to re-condition indoor air. In some respects, it may be desirable to add fresh outdoor air, but in general, this feature causes more harm than benefit.

Fan coil units that allow fresh outdoor air are usually equipped with air filters on the outdoor air inlet and recirculation air.

Enter to remove insects and dust particles in the air.

Lack of fan coil maintenance can cause the following problems:

Dust, dust, and other solid suspended particles collect on the surface of the fan coil unit, reducing efficiency and personal comfort.

In addition, dirt collected on the inner surface of the fan coil unit may cause:

1. The fan and casing are dirty enough to reduce the fan speed.

2. The blower motor has collected enough dust to heat the motor.

3. The damper and mechanical connection will become dirty, which will also hinder the normal operation of the unit.

4. The coil is often covered by dust, which will reduce air flow and heating and cooling effects.

5. The air filter is full of dust and needs to be replaced before microorganisms grow.
