Wie sein Vorgänger Ende des Jahres 2000 ist es ein Feature Phone, der Nokia-Klingelton und der Spieleklassiker Snake in einer neuen Version​ sorgen für Nostalgie.Anders als das Original ist die Neuauflage aber mit einem Farbdisplay ausgerüstet. Das 2,4 Zoll große Display hat eine Auflösung von 240x320 Pixel. Das neue Gehäuse macht deutliche Anleihen beim Original, ist aber moderner und weniger kantig. Außerdem stecken nun eine 2-Megapixel-Kamera und Bluetooth 3.0 darin.

Das Smartphone hat ein 5,5-Zoll-Display mit 4K-Auflösung (2160 x 3840 Pixel). Im Inneren arbeitet der neue Octa-Core-Prozessor Snapdragon 835 mit 4 GB RAM. Intern stehen 64 GB Speicher zur Verfügung, die per Micro-SD-Karte um bis zu 256 GB erweitert werden können. Der 3.230-mAh-Akku kann über den USB-C-Anschluss schnell wieder aufgeladen werden. Im Power-Button an der Seite ist ein Fingerabdrucksensor integriert.
