We then took my pulse rate, and to say I was laying down at this point bemoaning the world and all its badness, my heart rate should have been slower. It was now running between 85 - 92 bpm. If it had been up another 60 it would have been the equivalent of my quickest bpm when I am at the end of a workout on a cross trainer.

So in conclusion; you can either give up the sugary caffeine fixes, or, if you do not want to, keep doing what you doing but remember that unless the energy you create is utilised, at some point you will feel either anxious, angry and depressed or all three. A little bit of exertive exercise will release the tension, release the energy and leave you feeling a whole lot calmer, and of course, fitter.

Their main function is to carry oxygen to every cell in our body. They are the basis for the hormone, brain and nervous system to function.
