The cutthroat rivalry in the Indian labor market has led to the growing demand for various technical courses that guarantee employment as well as career growth. Indian students are also on the lookout for job-oriented courses to further develop their careers. To their delight, both undergraduate and postgraduate level technical courses are offered now. Each of these courses has its own eligibility requirements which must be met by the students before admission to these courses. While the most common are the engineering and medical courses, there are also some path-breaking courses of equal reach and opportunities for students. These include courses in architecture, law, hotel management and distance business administration master's degrees.

Architecture typically includes the design and construction techniques of buildings and structures, taking into account considerations such as functionality, social and aesthetic conditions. Numerous architecture courses are to be found in almost every country state. Many of them are hugely popular in the world. There is also the Architecture Council, established by the Government of India, to recognize and regulate the standards of the nation's architecture courses.

Numerous architecture programs offered in India include a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.), a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) and a Ph.D. in Architecture. Postgraduate courses include Masters of Planning, Masters of Urban Design and Masters of Urban and Regional Planning, among others. Although undergraduate programs have a 5-year duration that requires heavy focus on both theoretical and practical preparation, postgraduate and doctoral programs are 2 and 3years respectively. IIT-Kharagpur, IIT-Roorkee, Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi, RV College of Engineering in Bangalore, Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies (KRVIA) in Mumbai, etc., are some famous architectural institutes in India.
