Fort Lauderdale, Florida: Media commentator and Attorney Kelly Hyman discusses Kristin Smart Disappearance, Pastor Tony Spell Arrest and Sarah Bradley Arrest on CourtTV.
Kelly Hyman appeared on Court TV Live to discuss the disappearance of the 19-year-old college freshman Kristin Smart, the arrest and release of Pastor Tony Spell. Ms. Hyman was hosted by legal journalist and anchor, Vinnie Politan, and was joined by trial attorneys Richard St. Paul and Gabriel Sepulveda Sanchez.
Kelly Hyman started her discussion with Vinnie Politan about the case, which is more than 20 years old, and recently came into the limelight again when the authorities searched four locations in California and Washington State to recover “some items of interest.” Kelly Hyman showed her gratitude towards the people who inspired the police to get involved and find out more information about the cold case. She goes on to discuss how the items found could potentially help the family of Kristin get closure.
The discussion then moved on to Pastor Tony Spell, who was arrested on charges of assault of protestors and was later released on a $5,000 bond. When asked about who was right, the protestor or the pastor who was holding mass gathering during the pandemic, Kelly Hyman mentioned going to congregations could harm them and other people as the person are not going to self-isolate, which is potentially harmful for young kids and elderly because they could get Covid-19.
Next, the discussion moved to a viral video of Sarah Bradley as she was arrested after refusing to follow police orders to leave the park where she was a part of play day protest with other moms and children. In her opinion, Kelly Hyman believes that there are different ways to make this statement. Protesting with young kids without wearing masks and avoiding social distancing is not the right way to do it.
