India Became Joined GPAI As Its Founding Member

With many countries like the USA, UK & Australia, India became the founding member to join the GPA.
 
This partnership on AI is focused on developing the best use of AI with the current human rights which results in innovation and economic growth in the country. This initiative is taken by the Indian Government to understand the challenges & opportunities that AI can evolve and utilizing it for a greater good. This also supports the research and activities related to Artificial Intelligence. Ravi Shankar Prasad (Union Minister for Electronics and IT) tweeted on Monday, “Delighted to
announce that India has joined the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence or #GPAI today as a founding member. This multi-stakeholder international partnership will promote responsible and human-centric development and the use of AI. #ResponsibleAI”
By joining GPAI, India will actively participate in Global development on AI for leveraging more about the utilization of AI for economic growth. Indian Govt also announced to launch a National AI Portal which could bring together to share the best ideas & resources to developed AI across many sectors and industries. As India joins the GPAI, many companies and Industries are ready to adopt the technology to develop better performance. According to Research and Markets, “Artificial Intelligence (AI) spend in India has increased at 109.6% during 2018 to reach US$ 665 million. Over the forecast period (2019–2025), spend on AI is expected to record a CAGR of 39%, increasing from US$ 1,176.6 million in 2019 to reach US$ 11,781.9 million by 2025.”
According to Gartner Inc. “for the past four years, the strongest demand for talent with artificial
intelligence (AI) skills have not come from the IT department, but rather, from other business units in the organization.” This could say that the number of AI job postings is increasing as the demand increases.
