HR Experts Discuss Workforce Analytics To Improve Organizational Performance

27 May 2015, Dubai – First of its kind workforce analytics networking and learning forum in UAE, Fleming Gulf's “Workforce Analytics Forum” was inaugurated yesterday at Dusit Thani Hotel, Dubai, UAE. This cross industry forum provided an excellent mix of visions and practical implementations of workforce analytics with focus on the real time case studies of various segments and strategy plans, presentation from eminent dignitaries and round table discussions.

Ron Thomas who is the CEO of Great Place to Work Gulf, based in Dubai and former CHRO at the RGTS Group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia gave a brief welcome note and opening remarks to over 50 delegates at the event. Setting the tone for the summit; keynote speaker, Mr. Mostafa Azzam, Chief Learning and Development Advisor of Public Works Authority, ASHGHAL Qatar orated on the importance of people analytics and technical talent management as well as sharing insights on how workforce improvement programs can manage the talent effectively.

Highlights of the day included case study presentation by Abdullah Hashem, Senior Manager Organization Development of National Water Company, KSA on how big data can improve recruitment method and Jalal Al-Asadi, Manpower and Organization Development Specialist from Qatar Gas, Qatar who spoke about what are the early stages of development for workforce analytics and how productivity can be enhanced by evidence based decision making for line managers and executive management. The day concluded with a interactive panel discussion - ' overcoming barriers to implementing a successful analytics capability' a topic that most organizations felt was a key area of concern

Voicing his opinion, Saket Ingle, Production Manager – HR from Fleming Gulf said “The need of the hour is to sense in seconds and transform disparate HR data into meaningful analytics. HR segment is devising methods and plan to visualize the state of the workforce and influence it into becoming the human capital required to deliver on strategy. It has become an integral part in talent management processes, succession planing,career development, performance management, particularly analyzing, planning, tracking and reporting on the workforce.”
