Today the famous 3ds flashcart official team gateway 3ds team has released the new firmware ULTRA V3.0.1 which can be used for playing 3ds games on all your 3ds V9.2 or below firmware.

Before this new firmware was released, gateway 3ds card is only working on V4.1-V4.5 3ds firmware. It is mainly used for playing 3ds games and 3ds emulators. but this card did not work on the V4.6 or higher versions. Now with the new gateway 3ds firmware, it also can play 3ds roms easily on the V9.2 or below system firmwares.

The booting method for 3ds V9.2 firmware is a little different than V4.5 firmware, when playing 3ds games on V4.5 or below firmwares, the gateway 3ds blue card is a must to boot into gateway mode. but the ULTRA V3.0 uses another method which is named internet browser method, put the ultra 3.0 file in the sd card,go to the 3ds internet browser to access gateway 3ds mode, very easy and simple.

This new firmware means more 3ds users can play 3ds games with gateway 3ds card. As long as the 3ds firmware is V9.2 or below, this card can be used for playing 3ds games and 3ds homebrews.

The ultra V3.0 also offer another great feature that can downgrade your 3ds console from V4.6-V9.2 to V4.1-V4.5. They released the downgrade file, firstly access the gateway mode, then click the downgrade icon to downgrade the 3ds console firmware. But downgrade is not a must because gateway also can work on V9.2 directly.
