ABA Therapy Clinic provide behavior modification therapy for children and young adults diagnosed with Autism and related disorders.

The ABA Clinic uses a combined approach of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA ) and Verbal Behavior (VB) to provide hands-on personalized instruction. At the ABA Therapy Clinic we focus on programs for children, adolescents, and young adults with disabilities across many different levels of learning. We use the Verbal Behavior Milestone Placement Program (VB-MAPP) and Essentials for Living to assess each client and to develop an appropriate program to address individual needs. Sample programs may include.

And training also assists in problem behavior reduction. Using the VP-MAPP, we target cooperation and compliance, receptive language, imitation, primary social skills, and classroom readiness.

At this level we use a combination of the VB-MAPP and the Essential for Living Assessment. We target social, play, imitation, receptive listening, cooperation, eating, fine and gross motor, classroom readiness, visual perception, self-help skills, etc.

We target pre-vocational skills, self-help, activities of daily living, wellness, etc. We primarily use the Essential for Living for learners at this level. We focus on fading support as clients become more successful across environments and people. Each client is assigned a one-on-one therapist who provides direct, hands on therapy. Each program is assigned a Program Coordinator (PC) that works closely with the client’s assigned Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to continue aspects of training and program development. The BCBA creates individualized treatment plans and provides continual support to maximize client growth and development.

The communication skills we teach include growing a child’s receptive and expressive language. This means learning to respond to one’s name, imitating sounds and words, and developing the ability to request and label concepts. We also offer individualized modalities, targeted to each child’s specific needs, such as sign language and pecs.

The social skills program teach emphasize peer to peer interaction, including sharing with others, initiations and greetings and increasing overall pro-social engagement. We also focus on eye contact, attending skills, and we deliver group instruction integrated through music and movement.

The daily living skills we teach include toilet training and hand washing, facilitating meal time independence and general self care.

The play and leisure skills we teach help our young learners imitate actions and learn to explore and navigate new environments. We focus on turn taking with peers and teach simple, independent and dramatic play. We also help children develop fine and gross motor skills.

The pre-academic and academic skills we teach are the pillars of maximizing early education successes. They include a focus on waiting skills, engagement during tasks and work activities, following basic instructions, hand writing and problem solving.
