FilmFundingLA.com provides $50K-$250K in development funding for Film Producers, Web Series Producers, and other Media Makers.

On April 6, 2016 FilmFundingLA will present “How to Package a Film” which will cover what filmmakers need to know about the first step in building a fundable film production. Those interested in attending can RSVP at www.filmfundingla.com/upcoming-events

Ray Ellingsen, producer at Motion Pictures Media Group says, “At this event I’ll review the process of assessing a screenplay, determining budget, and attaching cast and key crew to a project. Armed with this information, filmmakers will be in a better position to understand this critical phase of their project’s development.”

Mr. Ellingsen began his film career in 1987 as a writer. He has since gone on to pursue numerous aspects of filmmaking, from directing and producing, to supervising post production of feature films, documentaries, and commercials.

Michael Praver, founder of JW Harding a financial services company since 2008, launched FilmFundingLA.com in 2015. He adds, “It’s too commonly the case that a filmmaker’s first project is their last project. Filmmakers who package their film incorrectly end up with with a movie that simply can’t be produced. The more you plan to spend on a project, the more important it is that you get these details right.”

Writer/Producer Nancy Fulton, who will act as event moderator, adds “This event will help clear up one of the enduring questions most indie filmmakers have about the process of film funding. What makes an indie film easy to fund? A well packaged film can find support easily. This event covers the packaging process.”
