New Range of 24V LED Drivers Among Most Popular for a Reason

Saving Light Bulbs credits IP67 for success of 24V LED drivers in UK climate

It should come as no surprise that the UK experiences its fair share of rainfall within any given year. The climate in the UK is known as a temperate climate, which means that it experiences cold, wet winters, as well as hot, wet summers. This does not bode well for electronics. However, as a leading UK retailer of lighting solutions so adequately put it, certain products do well in certain areas for very specific reasons. And that is where the IP67 rating of their new range of LED drivers comes in.
LED drivers are devices with the function of regulating the power that flows to an LED or a string or even a series of LEDs. It is essential to any LED circuit and if you were to attempt to operate an LED configuration without the use of a driver, it could result in a complete system failure. LED drivers aren’t new technology, as they’ve been around as long as our ordinary LEDs have been, however, there are certain types or ratings of LED drivers that may be fairly new to the average homeowner, and that is the case with the IP67-rated LED drivers on the shelves of Saving Light Bulbs.
“Simply put, the IP67 rating on our range of 24V LED drivers means that they will remain well-protected and well-insulated in the wet climate that the UK experiences on the regular,” states Paul Towers, Director of Saving Light Bulbs. “Our company does its utmost best to provide our customers with the very best technology available, and it made sense to us to invest in a driver that was almost specifically created for the type of climate that we experience on the regular as that would, of course, make it incredibly valuable to our clients.”
LEDs have been in use in digital displays and smaller configurations for years, and have, fairly recently, become commonplace in outdoor configurations from security lights to impressive garden displays as well. Most security fixtures will have their own built-in driver configurations, however, for the average homeowner that would like to illuminate outdoor spaces with LEDs, especially gardens or patios, the IP67 rating is incredibly important. This rating will mean that your LED driver will remain dry and in good working order even throughout the toughest and wettest conditions that the UK may experience. It is not enough to protect your LED circuit with an LED driver, you also have to protect the driver itself against the elements.
