JOHANNESBURG [Is this the right city for your dateline?]—(19 May 2022)—

The economic and social fallout of COVID-19 has impacted Africa in previously unforeseen ways. Yet, the pandemic provides Africa with a unique window of opportunity to redefine itself. In a new book called, “The Great Reset of Africa,” author Nozizwe Glenrose King shares her vision and passion for transforming the continent.

King's book analyzes the simple to deep-rooted challenges Africans need to confront and solve in proactive and sustainable ways. Those issues include leadership development, economic development, gender equality, social progress, free universal education for children, adoption of a common currency, and preservation of natural resources. She advocates for the use of Swahili as a universal African language.

“The Great Reset of Africa” is for thought leaders, economists, policymakers, politicians, community leaders, and financial leaders. This book provides an intuitive yet realistic approach to problem solving. It is about the transformation of momentum in a more African-centric model for socio-economic development and growth. Readers will come to appreciate King’s unique point of view and her ability to bring complex issues towards resolution.

"Africa needs a more united approach to redefine its global posture and goals for Agenda 2063," King said. "This book is not ordinary. It is a gift, and a self-fulfilling prophetic mandate to Africans across the continent."
According to the African Union, a continental union of 55 member states in Africa, it adopted Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want in January 2013. Agenda 2063 is a plan to develop Africa into a global power. Its initiatives seek to achieve inclusivity and sustainability at all levels of socio-economic development over 50 years.
