Artifact Knowledge Changes in WOW Patch 7.3 PTR

1. Instead of completing Work Orders, you will automatically gain one level per week.
2. On Patch 7.3 PTR, all characters, even those without maxed out traits or Artifact Knowledge previously, have been set to 41 for testing purposes.?
3. All of the Artifact Compendium books, such as Artifact Research Compendium: Volumes I-IV, are now marked as obsolete in the 7.3 data. It is possible that the old method for alts to reach AK 40 will be removed and that another new catch-up mechanism must take its place.

Artifact Power gains increases at the ratio

On the PTR, Holt Thunderhorn hints that “the orders are sharing their resources, and you are no longer required to research Artifact Knowledge. We will gain further Knowledge each week.”?
