The Finite Element Method (FEM) has been widely used for solving engineering problems and mathematical models.

The 2D Finite Element has become a popular method for solving several mathematical and engineering problems. The Finite Element Method (FEM) has been a specific numerical method used for solving several partial differential equations. The method has been largely helpful in solving two or three space variables. The FEM would divide a relatively large system into simpler and smaller parts for solving the problem, known as the finite elements.

The subdivision of the entire domain into simpler and smaller parts would offer a plethora of benefits. You would be able to determine the precise representation of highly complex geometry, include different properties of the materials, ease of representation of the entire solution, and capturing of local effects.

The working of the method entails dividing the domain of the problem into various sub-domains. It would be pertinent to mention here a set of element equations to the problem would represent every sub-domain. It would further be followed by recombining of all element equation sets systematically into the entire system of equations for determining the result. The entire equation system would provide the best solution techniques to be calculated from the initial values of the original problem for determining a numerical answer.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) has been a great method for analyzing various kinds of problems over complex domains. However, with the change in domain, the desired precision would vary largely over the complete domain or if you do not have a smooth solution.

It would be pertinent to mention here that the Finite Element Method has been popular for offering practical applications such as the Finite Element Analysis. The simulations would provide a valuable resource by removing several options for testing and creating hard samples for various situations. A good example would be a head-on crash simulation creating a possibility of increased probability for precise prediction in important areas of the vehicle.

It would also help reduce the prediction accuracy of crash simulation for the rear of the vehicle. It would reduce the overall cost of simulation. Yet another example would be that of predicting the weather. It would be imperative to gain precise predictions over developing nonlinear occurrences instead of that of calm areas.
