Ramesh Goenka Foundation was set up in 2013 in Mumbai- India as a self-funded NGO. The motivation to build this non-profit organization was the vision of Late Shri Satyanarayan Goenka who believed religiously in efforts for social welfare.

The board of members of this NGO is led by Mr. Ramesh Goenka, though other board members are part of Mr. Ramesh Goenka’s immediate family. Mr. Ramesh Goenka is professionally an NRI who is settled in Dubai. It will not be unfair to state that Mr. Ramesh Goenka himself is a big believer of helping other people and working for the improvement of society.

Recently Ramesh Goenka Foundation contributed in complete renovation of Goenka Bhavan in Mumbai (A Municipality Hall), which was actually supported by Late Shri Satyanarayan Goenka years ago and now Mr. Ramesh Goenka and Ashish Goenka along with their immediate families took the honor to rebuild this building which is going to be multi-purposeful.

Goenka Bhavan consists of a Marriage Hall which can easily accommodate 300 people and charges no fees for arranging ceremonies. Also the building consists of rooms for short stay for those who come to Mumbai for medical checkups, to attend marriages due in Goenka Bhavan Marriage Hall, religious purpose or any other legitimate reasons.

The inauguration after rebuilding was arranged on January 23, 2015.
Mr. Ramesh Goenka and his immediate family attended the event personally, other trustees were also present at the Bhavan. Mr. Subhash Chandra Chairman of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited also attended the inauguration and delivered an outstanding speech to the audience. The audience consisted of about 400 people.

Ramesh Goenka Foundation has also done projects as well has supported projects of others which share their vision.
