JAMILA is an emerging Senegalese-American singer/songwriter. Her anticipated release date of her first single “Control” is set for August 27, 2021. Her track was recorded at the House of Hits Recording Studio in Miami Florida, mixed and mastered by renowned Vinny "MrMixandMaster" DeLeon. Vinny DeLeon has worked with numerous successful artists such as The Weekend, Bad Bunny, Davido, Future and many more.

Sunsets and good vibes - that is the atmosphere in which JAMILA’s new single “Control” represents. It is a song that is the epitome of resilience and remaining positive when dealing with negative people. JAMILA was inspired by her life experiences of being bullied in her International highschool overseas. Often called an ‘Oreo’ for her differences, JAMILA resorted to songwriting as a form of escaping. “Control” is a song that symbolizes strength. In addition to JAMILA’s avid passion for dancing, “Control” is a feel-good song in which everyone can relate to. She writes, “Let the beat take control” in her song to symbolize the healing power music and dance can have when expressing yourself.
