Preston Vance, CEO of Kickstarter-funded startup Flekt, Inc., has partnered with product innovation consultant Eric P. Rose, NPDP, MBA to ensure the development of the cFlekt product from prototype into tooling, manufacturing, and production launch.

Mr. Rose will bring his expertise, supplier connections, and technical associates to the Flekt team. He has more than 30 years of experience in product innovation, product development, commercialization, and project management. His background includes five years at Mattel toys, sourcing hundreds of molds for plastics manufacturing, and previously serving as Chairman of the Society of Plastics Engineers in Los Angeles.

The Flekt System gives photographers the ability to create studio quality light from a pop-up flash on most DSLR cameras. Flekt attaches to the hot-shoe and utilizes the pop-up flash without the need for expensive third-party flash units. With multiple texture and color coating options, photographers can customize their light to create beautiful photos. In early 2014, Flekt turned to Kickstarter in order to fund the tooling and production necessary for the cFlekt product. Photography enthusiasts from around the world pledged more than $72,000, surpassing the funding goal.

Now, with the financial support of its backers and the product development guidance of Mr. Rose, Flekt is moving forward to make its prototype a reality for photographers. Mr. Rose brings his expertise to help Flekt launch production in time to fulfill its Kickstarter schedule goals.
