The former CEO of Heli Aviation and current CEO of flyVENTURE continues to play his part in preserving the ecosystem and wildlife.

Florida, US. 12/29/2020: Back in 2017, Nick Herle received the Presidential Letter of Appreciation from President Trump. This was only the beginning because Nick has been unstoppable since then. His recent efforts for wildlife management have been a testament to this.

A representative of the company stated, “Nick Herle believes in giving back to society and creating an impact with whatever he has learned over years. Thanks to his 13 years long accident/incident free flight experience, he can now put his expertise for the greater good of Florida. Other than authoring various books to help aviation enthusiasts, Nick has also worked on developing a wildlife management tool for FWC.”

Naturally occurring fires are a common occurrence in Florida. Wildfires are prevalent from mid-April to July. Wildfires are either set on purpose to eradicate dense vegetation or take place as a result of lightning. Over the years, wildfires have played a significant role in maintaining Florida’s sandhills, wetlands, sandhills, prairies, and pinelands.

Wildfires aren’t entirely devastating. A fire in the ecosystem also promotes the growth of different types of flowers and fruits. It also maintains habitat conditions for various plants and animals that survive on flammable dead vegetation. Florida is home to a wide range of tortoises, woodpeckers, squirrels, scrub jays, and quails that rely on the fires for their habitats and the fire-enriched soil.

Heli Aviation uses safety-controlled techniques to maintain the natural habitats for many wildlife species, including Turkeys and deers. Wildlife management includes setting the seasonal limit, hunting restrictions, and replacing vegetation from the wildfire damage.

The spokesperson continued, “Our company has developed a patented aerial-saw to get rid of any vegetation that grows around the power lines. The saw is guided by precision flying. Nick’s idea was to suspend a saw right below a helicopter powered by a gas engine and controlled straight from the cockpit. The saw assembly comprises 8, 24-inch diameter blades and is 20 feet long”.

Nick Herles also provides helicopter support for powerboat races to limit the impact on marine wildlife. Currently, Nick’s client base for the aerial saws includes 10 top utility companies in the US.
