Keep the Tail Wagging® Announces Its First Annual National Raw Feeding Week

To feed my dogs a species appropriate diet of raw dog food and share what I'm learning with others while learning from others.

North America’s leading blog about raw feeding for dogs, Keep the Tail Wagging®, has announced their first annual National Raw Feeding Week. This will be a 7-day information-packed event, taking place from April 1 to April 7, 2018. At this event, raw feeders around the world unite to share the benefits of DIY raw feeding and adding fresh food to a dog’s diet to raise a healthier, happier pet. During this week-long event, raw feeders will be sharing their experiences through social media posts, blog posts, videos, and more.

Kimberly Gauthier, the dog nutrition blogger behind Keep the Tail Wagging®, transitioned her dogs to a raw food diet in 2013 after years of seeking help for her dog, Rodrigo. Through Kimberly’s experience with her dog, she found that feeding a specie-appropriate diet of raw and fresh food, not only helped cure Rodrigo’s illnesses, but also provided the following benefits:

• healthy skin and shiny coat
• clean, white teeth
• fresh breath
• healthy digestive system
• stronger immune system
• decreased allergies
• healthy body weight and muscle mass
• no doggy odor
• smaller, less smelly poop
• fewer vet visits

The National Raw Feeding Week will also serve as a Raw Feeding 101 course to inform pet parents about raw dog food for beginners. This will help them to understand that each dog’s diet should be adjusted based on their individualistic needs and may include whole food supplements to account for nutrients not found in the meat and bone.

Dog Nutrition Blogger, Kimberly Gauthier, had this to say, “Raw feeding is biologically appropriate for dogs and, the reason it worked so well for Rodrigo, is that he was no longer on a diet that was promoting an inflammatory reaction in his system that suppressed his digestive health, his immune system, and more.”

During National Raw Feeding Week, pet lovers will not only read about raw feeding for dogs and the experiences of raw feeders, but Kimberly Gauthier will be hosting a series of FREE videos from experts in the dog nutrition, veterinarian, and raw feeding communities who will cover a Raw Feeding Guide:

• How to learn about raw feeding
• How to balance a pet’s raw diet
• How many eggs we can feed a medium sized dog each week
• Raw feeding for cats, etc.
