OSRS has been around a long time as far as games

Even though lots of people are trolling with answers here, I really don't see why Jagex isn't considering buying RL unless they wanted too much.

Even though lots of people are trolling with answers here, I really don't see why Jagex isn't considering buying RL unless they wanted too much. For every OSRS update would be a drop in the bucket for them even just as is correct now and pay 1 person full-time to update the client. Plus it includes reddit trolls being happy. As a business minded person (CPA) I've been wondering this for a very long moment. Even if the business that owns Jagex is hoping to sell them off it is still a smart acquisition for that Jagex which makes it more attractive for an investor. Does anyone know if Jagex has tried and has been turned away possibly?

Not to be rude - but being a CPA doesn't always make you business minded. OSRS has been around a long time as far as games and software goes - it's an essential component of the experience of exactly what OSRS for a lot of people and even though the client is bad and dated. For many users, if they updated to a new customer it would get rid of the sense and individuality of what is OSRS. Don't piss off your existing customers. OSRS has practically no curb appeal for anybody who has not played RS before, and I'd be missing, when they took away what caused it to feel just like the OG. When there was a client update I'd be fucking wouldn't feel inclined to learn that the system that was janky around again and lost.

Additionally, a third party client buy-out would bring about an increase of party development which is not what Jagex needs, but not just because people will cheat but also for also and security of its users the company pride. Generally, buying out a company since they made something better for your game than you did yourself is not likely to impress any investor about your internal development team and leadership group. Why did not leadership identify this and have you made earlier internally Should they require a new client?

Nicely put. The OG customer is a deal. Maybe not to RuneScape players that play with 12 hours a day for the last five decades but logging. Exactly, and people time in RuneScape players are those Jagex should hook for RuneScape to grow. It is a personal decision if they choose to then switch to something such as RL. OSRS must feel familiar to bring back anyone. Completely disagree. You are implying they should boost their CAC to concentrate only on bringing in RuneScape players when people may not even be the biggest increase to their own profit. I will not make a claim since I have not seen their financial numbers and numbers but I would really like to see if the"sweaty" players burning bonds or membership for multiple accounts (main, ironman, HCIM, Leagues, etc.) don't actually out weigh their earnings derived from new RuneScape players.

You seem like someone who'd just be interested in lining up the upcoming few years and also investors pockets gains rather than growing RuneScape for everyone. I am responding to a conversation being had about OSRS and Jagex as a organization. If you feel the men and women who may flip the switch and turn off OSRS don't care about profit then you're being naive.
