Allow me to begin by saying I actually enjoy Phantasy Star Online 2. I've had a number of their most fun playing with this from any mmo. Honestly, I wouldn't say there is anything Phantasy Star Online 2 will especially well, and you will find sufficient frustrations equally in Phantasy Star Online 2 and related to the Microsoft shop for me to hesitate to recommend even trying out game. All this being said, I play Phantasy Star Online 2, it's just odd because I can't think of too many reasons to perform it on most other mmos or action rpgs. Anyone else feel this way?

Nope, I believe it does most things it sets out to do well. My sole problem is the same ol' PSO foible: Lack of true end game, but it's still plenty enjoyable. Combat is the best in course for the genre, category design is intriguing, customization and aesthetics cannot be approached for my own preferences and there's normally a lot to see and do. Also important for me as an player is that it does not feel watered down for a general audience. This is what you are feeling in part. It is weird and silly and a small mysterious like video games used to be. Its always great to have something that's just designed for a lot of us fucking nerds again, no Hollywood influence, not targeting your match hating girlfriend or older grandparents, etc..

Considering I've been trying to get a great deal of my buddies to play it. No I can't say I agree. Fair enough. I guess I'm just concerned about how much Phantasy Star Online 2 would appeal to my friends who don't have any attachment. I dont have any particular attachment to some of the Phantasy star games, In case it makes you feel better. How I think about it's people try to objectively critique a game (that is fair), but your pleasure of Phantasy Star Online 2 is totally subjective. Its not limited to matches, there's nothing wrong with enjoying a poor movie. (edit: im not saying pso2 is awful its only an example)

Everything you only need to experience, hate it or love it. They do not have time nor the patience to learn the surface. It is a little Niche game, and there isn't anything wrong with it, but many will drift off. It.

The main reason I am doing so -- cash shop. Game is great, although still good -- not great. Once it appears inviting and deep, once you start scratching the surface it's just another game which produces things which could be rather easy; harder than they should be. No, the game I would HIGHLY recommend I have played in the previous 25 years would be Hunt: Showdown. Damn, it's a game that is fantastic, although I'm bored of this in like 50hrs!
