Madden NFL 22 gamers have had to deal with an unsettling bug since the game's launch. The exact cause for the problem is is not known. The result is extremely clear. The players will try to access their soccer team's franchise using Franchise mode and it won't open. It doesn't matter how they attempt to open it, whether it's reinstalling Madden NFL 22, or using a second (or even a third) savefile, it won't succeed. The save files for the teams in their Franchise mode will be corrupted and unusable.

What makes this mistake especially unacceptable is that"Franchise mode" in Madden is where players get a unending, continuous football experiences. Franchises can have numerous seasons across the years and then their saved data to become corrupted in the blink of an eye. They'll lose their entire progress and have no other alternative than to start again.

Electronic Arts has acknowledged that there's a problem. There's an apparent solution working on, but there's no date that will determine the date when it's going to become available. EA Community manager Blueberry posted a reply to EA's official bug report forum, which said that their development team was working on the issue.

With the numerous reports that this bug dates back at least to Madden NFL 21 It's difficult to believe that it has taken this long to be addressed. At the very minimum it seems that EA has been paying close attention. There's no indication of whether players will get their saves back or whether they'll have to start over.

There's, unfortunately, no way to stop this Madden NFL 22 Franchise bug from happening, because no one knows for sure what's the reason. It's been reported on multiple platforms, and has been reported on EA's official forums originating from players on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Madden NFL 22 players must know that saved games could be corrupted in Franchise mode. It's not common, but it's feasible.
