Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, November 03, 2015- Organized by Fleming Gulf, Kingdom Security Summit 2015 opened today in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With the vision for security of Saudi Arabia and aiming to provide a stage to engage with top dignitaries and decision makers from different industries, the event saw over 150 professionals discussing the important aspects from reducing vulnerability & impacts of threats to evaluation of security best practices. Subjects like Proactive security measures against external threats, Integrated approach to Critical Infrastructure, risk reduction through emergency preparedness & response co-ordination and Vision for National Security in Saudi Arabia were open for discussion at the summit.

Fleming Gulf opened day-1 of the summit with a welcoming note to all the participants followed by the opening remarks from the Chairman- Tarquin Folliss, Market Advisor, Wynyard Group. Colonel Dr. Ali Abdullah Al Qahtani, Director, General Directorate Border Guards Ministry of Interior, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shed light on governments' view and response on kingdom security. Moreover, the summit featured various descriptive presentations concerning Protection of critical assets against external & advanced persistent threats, Identity management & access control and Nuclear security vs Nuclear Terrorism by top industry dignitaries.

Moving forward, Mike O Keffee, Product Director Financial Crime & Cyber WYNYARD Group reviewed the Evolution of Cyber Crime and the Threats faced by Organisations and discussed new approaches to the problems whereas Aftab Afzal, Akamai Director Security Sales Southern Europe & EMEA East discussed about core services moving to the web applications leading to new security challenges hence making the internet faster, more reliable and secure. Ahmed Ouf, Business Development Manager, Axis Communications explained the importance of public safety and security and key responsibilities of government at all levels with a view to create safer and smarter cities.

Tarquin Folliss, Market Adviser, Wynyard Group conducted a round table discussion which discussed concerns like threats to industrial infrastructure, their counter measures and risk management in the supply chain which was followed by a group conference on Social engineering and its impact, awareness to threats by various security industry experts.

Following up from the successful opening day, day-2 will start with Opening remarks from the Chairperson- Mike Grieves, Senior Specialist Instructor & Mentor Saudi Special Emergency Force and presentations and case studies from top industry professionals keeping in mind the vision for security in Saudi Arabia.
