Fleming Gulf's 4th Edition of the Middle East Homeland Security Summit, hosted by The General Directorate Of Gendarmerie, Hashemite Kingdom Of Jordan, commenced today at the Kempinski Hotel in Amman
 
October 6, Amman - Jordan - Fleming Gulf's 4th Edition of the Middle East Homeland Security Summit, hosted by The General Directorate Of Gendarmerie, Hashemite Kingdom Of Jordan, commenced today at the Kempinski Hotel in Amman, and saw over 250 security professionals from across the region congregate to discuss transnational security challenges and the need for a comprehensive internal security strategy in the Middle East. This years' primary talking points focused on globalization & security, cross-border and ideological challenges, critical infrastructure, protection data in motion from cyber threats, emergency preparedness and response, to name a few.

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Interior, Hashemite Kingdom Of Jordan, the summit opened with remarks from the event chairman - General (Retd.) Sayed Ghoneim, Egyptian Armed Forces and National Security Expert for Abu Dhabi, UAE, followed by Brigadier General, Hussein Mohammad Salem Alhawatmeh, General Director of Gendarmerie Forces who welcomed His Excellency Salamah Hammad, Minister of Interior, Hashemite Kingdom Of Jordan to deliver the inaugural address to all the participants. Following the opening orations, a host of thought provoking presentations by leading experts from across the region kept the audience engaged with topics such as "Anti Terrorist & Extreme, National & Regional Security Challenges", "Transnational Security Challenges In The Middle East", "Nations Protection Against Terrorism", "Security And Defence, Rising Powers & The Future Of Defence Cooperation In Middle East" and a feature presentation - " United Kingdom’s National Approach To Counter Terrorism" by Commander Richard Walton, Counter Terrorism Command - Metropolitan Police Service, U.K.

Mr. George Vipin, producer of the summit said - "This years' agenda has been carefully designed to include the most relevant and 'need of the hour' topics and challenges.
