Firefly Derby opens newly refurbished studio to kick start their 10th year celebrations.

London, UK: Firefly Derby Photography is happy to announce the re-opening of their newly refurbished studio still based on Friar Gate in Derby city Centre.
The Derbyshire based company will be celebrating their 10th anniversary next year. “We’re so excited to be opening our newly refurbished studio” explains Company Director, James Corbett. “For the first time the studio will all be on ground level making it more accessible and we’ve also invested in a brand new high glide system for our lighting meaning that we’re able to offer much more versatile photography for our clients”.
Firefly Photography was opened in 2007 by Belper born photographer James Corbett. After graduating from Derby University with a Fine Art Photography degree James opened Firefly which has become the region’s leading studio for gift experience portraiture. “We were able to open our first satellite studio in Lichfield last year which has allowed us to reduce our waiting times in our Derby studio as well as branch out across the Midlands”.
Firefly Photography will be celebrating its ten year anniversary in 2017 with a series of new experiences including the “Heritage Experience” with their new Artist in Residence, Jules Hunter. Jules, who ran a studio in Derby for a number of years, is a national multi-award winning photographer specializing in children’s photography. “I went to university with Jules” explains James. “She was invited to join a number of studios and I was thrilled when she agreed to join our Firefly Photography team. I’m thrilled that Firefly is able to offer another new and unique experience designed with our clients in mind and so excited that we have Jules as our Artist in Residence”
