Pelvic inflammation is a multiple upper genital tract infection, its symptoms are pelvic or lower abdominal pain, and high-risk patients with uterine or adnexal tenderness should be suspected of having pelvic inflammation.

Delayed treatment can lead to serious sequelae, including chronic pelvic pain, ectopic pregnancy and infertility. If the patient is pregnant and suffering from human immunodeficiency virus infection, oral medication is ineffective or serious, it is recommended that hospitalization and injection treatment.

There are 750,000 cases of PID in the United States every year, mostly among women aged 15 to 29. This figure has remained unchanged since the early 1990s, but has declined over the past few decades.

It is estimated that 80% to 90% of women infected with Chlamydia genitalia and 10% of women infected with gonorrhea are asymptomatic.

If untreated, about 10 to 20 percent of women infected with chlamydia or gonorrhea may develop PID. Women with PID had a 20% chance of infertility due to fallopian tube scar, 18% chance of chronic pelvic pain and 9% chance of ectopic pregnancy. In 2010, the CDC updated the PID guidelines.

Over the past decade, most women have been treated in outpatient clinics. The number of inpatients has steadily declined. The cost of PID per patient is about $2,000, equivalent to $1.5 billion per year.

It is worth noting that doctors must take into account pelvic inflammation in women aged 15 to 44 years. Even though these symptoms are mild, they still have tenderness in the lower abdomen or pelvic cavity.

For the treatment of PID, the most common way is antibiotic treatment and the doctor will prescribe specific antibiotics for a few days and then observe the effects.

If there is no improvement or your condition causes some complications, hospitalization is necessary.

In case of sexual transmitted infections, your sexual partners need to be treated at the same time to prevent further infection. In treating pelvic inflammatory disease, surgery treatment is rare to do.

However, in case of tube-ovarian abscesses, it may be needed. Surgery might cause huge damage to female reproductive organs, so some people are wondering that is there any natural remedy for PID?

In the view of traditional natural medicine, the balance of yin and yang can help you keep healthy. Fuyan Pill is mainly herbal medicine, which has the function of sterilization, anti-inflammation and promoting blood circulation. It is very effective in the treatment of fallopian tube obstruction, endometriosis and pelvic inflammation.
