I would agree in the event of paying lip service to issues without placing money and support or implementing it at the very least to the organization and their work. Having said that police brutality is something that a company like EA throwing cash at the issue does considerably towards fixing. They place money towards groups and the attorneys that fight to see justice or lobby to have laws changed that at the government won't. It's systemic issues within police of not reporting their own and holding them liable instead staying silent and with the authorities unions that allow it all to occur or in a sense even promote it by the repercussions being a slap on the wrist followed by being hired at another precinct showing them there's no consequences.

That allow them to abuse their power and protect abusive cops before even getting to rulings and laws such as qualified immunity. The majority of which capitalist businesses and EA are not able to perform all that much about making it unjust to say they're at the best position to do much more. The ones at the best possible place to do more are the great cops by remaining quiet and allowing bad cops to eliminate their misuse of power or voting for direction because of their unions which will not enable the behavior.

This is advertising, they are trying to sell Madden. Call me skeptical but the point of this message isn't to support the protests, its because their advertising agency worked out that people protesting are not gont have viewing video game trailers high up their list of priorities. So they could make money they are just postponing it. If EA being a company that is ethical and gave a shit about people then they wouldn't release Madden NFL with predatory microtransactions, and they would not engage in crunch clinics with their development teams. They are a like most for benefit and for profit business businesses their primary concern is the most important thing.

They are a for profit company with a message that is positive. They have chosen a side of the fence while also advertising rather than sitting quietly. So what if it's all for their bottom line? You can be both sending and profiting messages that are positive. Because that's why they got so large, every large company is going to get flaws. EA is commended by me for picking on the side if it does come across as advertising.
