Runescape programmer Jagex printed a blog post titled"Partnerships and Old School."

So just how does Jagex not realize that locking articles, whether it be cosmetic or not, behind a timed pay-wall does not come under the kind of OSRS gold a micro-transaction? Especially considering members that pay to perform the WHOLE game can not get this exclusive material unless they fork out more cash, or wait for an undisclosed amount of time. Becoming cosmetic items they don't directly impact the gameplay of the game, but this isn't the point, players that are already paying to play the sport should not be asked to invest more money to access content they're technically already paying for.

Jagex is not fooling anybody with these'partnerships' and the Old School RuneScape Reddit which fuels the games development choices directly reflects this. Fans and many players have taken to express their concerns, read here. The silver lining of this is that Old School RuneScape nevertheless has its polling system, meaning these'partnerships' can not be introduced into the game until at least 75% of the community agrees to execute them. Earlier this past week, Runescape programmer Jagex printed a blog post titled"Partnerships and Old School."

The intention is to help bring more new players to the game, but players are concerned that new deals could prove a gateway to microtransactions.Jagex ran polls on every one of the planned venture options, but these polls have now come to an early close. "You came to vote on your thousands, and the voting so far has delivered a very clear message and as such, we have made the choice to end the questionnaire early," the programmers say in a fresh upgrade. "The results were one-sided the results of the survey could not change."

The polls were trending about 70 percent compared to cheap RuneScape gold all the suggested options. "We're disappointed that the reception to the site has concentrated about monetisation in-game -- something that is not in some of our plans -- we can understand your trepidation." Jagex says it still believes in partnerships as a path for OSRS's expansion, but that"no in-game material for partnerships will be added with no survey." Last year's venture with Twitch saw Prime members awarded per month of free membership, and the opportunity to change their skin color to purple. Following the event, that purple skin was made accessible to all players at no cost -- a process which Jagex says it will repeat with any prospective venture.
