Another way to look at it, or at least from another angle

So correct. It is largely to blame the RS3 developers how to balance it and literally have no clue what to do with PvP. They're like novice amateurs that never taken care of an mmorpg. It is quite sad that the OSRS development team is much superior in every way. I like RS3 the update graphics, but the match is hollow and the truth that which is either top tier or nothing is just sad. The DPS differences between someone using keybinded mouse in comparison with a man trying to make it is insanely distinct. It's elitist paradise. The EOC system in RS3 just isn't that good and poorly designed, it seems to me that it is limited to what the outdated engine can handle. They made it to be compatible using a modified RS2 engine instead of doing what additional MMO programmers did that was designing a brand new game engine depending on the combat system they desire.

No amount of changes and balancing will make it attractive for PVP when the culprit is the combat system. Some MMOs have a big pvp scene where people squander hours PVPing for no profit at all because their battle system is fun and engaging whereas RS does all it can to provide GP incentive but nobody's bitig and for great reason.Sure it is only a very small step up from the prior old school battle program but it's just not that great and brings the crappy attributes from the old. Those attributes being long ticks, grid centered placement, point and click movement and automatic trageting that makes battle so clunky and meh if you compared it with latest MMOs so that you will not be getting new players to appreciate it.

Runescape has a restricted player pool. Most of the OSRS players performed back in the afternoon. So once you look at someone who knew rs in 2005 or 2006, or 2004, during the hayday of participant populations, should they need to choose, they'll choose a 2007scape game since it is more familiar. RS3 is together with MTX infamy and honestly mish mash of graphics, a totally different game. RS3 is attempting to be something while OSRS adopts its legacy, that it can't. Old School has outdated art style, the old combat that fits together with the grid/0.6 tick system, while RS3 attempts to go the activity bar route which demands fluid gameflow, which RS3 simply doesn't have. Additionally it's incredibly old and complex. Try to leap into another MMO that's been going on for some time? Test maplestory two or TERA. You will quickly be overwhelmed with 100 interfaces, exactly like RS3 does. For a new player, it's a turn off. That's not even talking about all of the jumble players are supposed to know, that's just the basics.

Another way to look at it, or at least from another angle. Jagex has failed at least a dozen occasions in the marketplace of making games. One of the most noteworthy is that they were operating on a Transformers game at the same point. But because of the way they used to make games. They'd always fall short. At the very least. There's a Reddit post that exists that informs of this environment that is working and it's gloomy. Because of the base they had, the sole reason EoC is. Its much smaller but a few gave it a shot. For years no less, myself included. But right now it's like watching your puppers since it is barely able to endure anymore. So exhausted and so sore. It's only a matter of time.
