5/9/2019 Andersen Windows are the most popular windows in the world. I get many calls from people requesting Andersen windows because they believe they are the best. My answer to this is simple… All the windows I carry are quality windows. Some have more glass area, some have more detail, and some are more affordable. Each home and homeowner is different. I try to fit the right window to the right customer. Andersen does have a 200 series Narrowline window that I am not a fan of. This is a builder series window and does not tilt in for easy cleaning.
Andersen Good Points:


Easy operating sashes, smooth and clean lines
Reasonably priced pre painted interiors
Multiple hardware options
Quality full or half screen also available in Tru Scene option.
Nice snap in grids, between the glass, and or Full Divided Lites (glued on interior/spacer bar/exterior.)
Maintenance free composite/vinyl clad exteriors
Tilt in for easy cleaning
Great brand name recognition


Andersen’s not so good points would be that their tilt function is a bit tedious.
Woodwright Series

Andersen Woodwright Series Replacement Windows: Andersen has added wood jambs to the 400 series Tilt n’ Wash windows which make the interior all wood. The Tilt and wash comes with a vinyl compression jamb, so if you stain your interiors, you will see a bit of the light beige jamb liner. Not a real issue if you are painting. The Woodwright Series window is designed along the lines of the Andersen 400 Series Tilt n’ Wash, but comes standard with a wood jamb. It tilts in for easy cleaning, and looks like the 400 series. It is available in a pine interior or pre painted white for a very reasonable price. It also has full divided lites, snap in grids, and between the glass grids available. It comes in 4 exterior colors: white, sandtone, terratone, and forrest green. The exterior is an extruded composite material with a vinyl skin. I like the standard locks more than the upcharge locks. Overall, I like the Andersen 400 Woodwright Series, it is a good value for the money from a company that stands behind their products.
