These days the emphasis on organic products has increased considerably, owing to their apparent benefits on health. Organic fertilizers are made up of mined rock minerals and natural animal and plant materials. Although inorganic fertilizers have some organic ingredients, they act swiftly in order to feed the plant without ensuring the enrichment of the soil. This may lead to the buildup of toxic salts in the soil in case over application.

It is due to such factors that the demand for organic fertilizers is growing across the globe. Organic fertilizers are being utilized for a number of crop types, including fruits & vegetable, cereals & grains, and oilseeds & pulses. Out of all these, the largest demand for organic fertilizers was created for the production of cereals & grains in the past.
