Pre-Requisite Programs and HACCP plans to combat food safety & quality issues

Summit to discuss emerging issues and trends internationally through creating awareness and implementation of training courses.
 
Consumption of contaminated food leads to outbreak of food-borne illness and poisoning. Contamination of food can occur due to various reasons; to help the food handlers understand and follow food-safety rules, the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has been introducing new safety guidelines and regulations. Providing an extraordinary platform for consumer protection professionals, health & safety experts, quality management experts, inspection managers, policy makers, nutritionists and supply chain groups the ’Food Safety & Quality Summit’ will be a single venue to share evolving challenges to Food Safety & Quality.

Addressing the International HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards for food safety regulations to manufacture safe food, the attendees will hear from Dr. Mariam Hareb Sultan Al Yousuf, Executive Director, Policy And Regulation Sector representing Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority. The Food and Drug Administration of the US and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) state mandatory HACCP programs for juice and meat are an effective approach for food safety and protecting public health.

Jon Flatman, General Manager from Chartered Institute Of Environmental Health – Middle East will also elaborate on HACCP compliance. He will discuss the principles and economic investments needed by employers to implement HACCP trainings. Speakers presenting on certifications and international food safety standards in global supply chain and halal food include Frederic Aymes, Head Of Quality Management from Nestle Middle East and Dr. Tony Wiggs, Consul(Consultant?) from Australia‘S Department Of Agriculture, Middle East amongst others.
