Dr. Jean- Maria Basset, Director at Kaust Catalysis Center - KCC; Saudi Arabia to present at the 4th Annual Global Petrochemicals Technology Conference to be held in Doha, Qatar.

Petrochemical producers in the Middle East are investing in new technology adapting to alternating feedstock mix and global competition. This will help these companies to align and better serve global consumers and utilize commercial opportunities. The 4th Annual Global Petrochemicals Technology Conference to be held from 6 - 8 May 2014 is taking place at the Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel, Qatar. The conference will gather oil and gas experts from world over to discuss the latest developments in the petrochemicals industry. The three day conference will feature panel discussions, case studies and presentations on first two days and workshops on the final day of the conference.

Dr. Jean - Maria Basset, Director at Kaust Catalysis Center - KCC; Saudi Arabia is one of the speakers at the conference and will present on the evolution of catalysis to meet the future challenges of petrochemical industry in the coming years. He will delve into the development of new catalytic processes across chemical, petroleum and new energies industries. Dr. Basset will also speak about new strategies for refining implemented based on a new generation of catalysts able to achieve cascade reactions. Associated with KCC since September 2009, he has a wide range of experience in the field of catalysis.

Kuwait Oil Company, Qatar Petrochemical Company - QAPCO, Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research - KISR, Breitling Energy and Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company - ETHYDCO will also be presenting at the conference. They will be presenting on topics like targeting operational excellence, integrating carbon management in petrochemical complexes, manufacturing excellence through advance plant monitoring, breakthrough technology to convert methanol from coal to plastics and technological transfer in the petrochemical industry.

Unidense Technology GmbH, specializing in reformer tube catalyst loading in ammonia, methanol and hydrogen plants is Bronze Sponsor at the conference. At the conference Unidense will be introducing the Uniloader, an automated loading system and other new technologies. The Uniloader is a machine which enables reformer tube loading with catalyst by the Unidense principle automatically.

The conference is being supported by The Independent Power Producers Forum (IPPF), an international non-profit NGO of senior executives and decision-makers and related firms with energy business commitments. It will be an excellent opportunity for delegates to learn of the latest practices in play in the petrochemicals industry and implement these very practices in their organizations.
