Fleming Gulf's 4th edition of the highly successful Gulf Wastewater Summit on every GCC stakeholders calendar
 
The GCC water industry's most anticipated summit - 4th Annual Gulf Wastewater Summit, scheduled to take place between 19 – 20 May 2014 at Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa, Dubai. Back for the fourth consecutive year, this sought after summit has become the primary summit for those involved in the field of water re-use technology to discuss, debate and align strategies to preserve, conserve and reuse this precious resource.

Sharing his expectations for the summit, H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Abu-Zeid, President, Arab Water Council said “ The 4th Annual Gulf Wastewater Summit (May 2014) again is characterized by high level presentations and panel discussions with key experts from all around the world. The event will facilitate presentations on many subjects related to wastewater and allow first hand exchange of experience. Among the various subjects are energy, wastewater and reuse nexus, zero liquid discharge in wastewater reuse, potential uses of TSE, and efficient O&M strategies. New and up to date wastewater technologies are displayed in the exhibition area at the summit , a must visit for all attendees." Speaking on the importance of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), he added "The concept of IWRM is known and challenges facing IWRM and implementation strategies are present. In arid regions, IWRM becomes indispensable for having social equity and economic efficiency. Wastewater treatment plants are shown not to be waste disposal facilities but are water resources recovery facilities that produce clean water, recover nutrients and have the potential to reduce the nation’s dependence on fossil fuel through the production and use of renewable energy and the implementation of energy conservation. While waste water is considered an environmental hazard, yet it is shown to be a potentially recoverable resource.”
