In today’s environment, Oil, Gas and Power plants face a unique problem when it comes to managing the work and costs associated with Shutdowns, Turnarounds and Outages projects. With growing recognition that this attitude leaves “money on the table” in the form of the opportunity cost of lost production. The facility is meanwhile shut down for longer than necessary; and causes unnecessarily excessive expenditure of money during the turnaround.

The 4th Annual Plant Shutdown and Turnaround Forum to be held on 27 - 29 October 2014 will cover the theme "Next Gen Plant Shutdowns And Turnarounds". The forum has been designed to deliver thought provoking insight and in-depth content covering important aspects of critical projects. The event will ultimately introduce some innovative technologies that will help attendees improve STO efficiencies and effectiveness, giving the delegates a greater return on process plant shutdown investment.

The 3rd edition of the forum saw participation from over 150 attendees. Shutdown and SIMOPS, Material Planner from Dolphin Energy quoted, "This event elaborated turnaround requirements and planning tools". Production Senior Specialist –LDPE also attended the 3rd Annual Plant Shutdown and Turnaround according to him, "Overall it was a great event. Personally it was a good opportunity to hear good experiences of different expertise".
