A studypublished in September 2019 by the California Lutheran University, revealed the importance of the US based Latino community and the economy moving forward.

Statistics show that the GDP of US based Latinos increased to $2.3 trillion in 2019, a dramatic increase from 2010, which saw the GDP sitting at $1.7 trillion. Factors driving this performance are large population growth, increased consumer spending and high labor force participation. The study showed that Latinos are becoming crucial to supporting the new American economy.

Latinos account for eighty-two percent of the US labor force growth, yet they only account for less than twenty percent of the overall population in the United States.
