Expected End Entertainment, LLC, and EX3 Books announced today that they will donate 10% of book sales throughout the month of October to two organizations that serve domestic violence victims and survivors.

“We consider ourselves ‘The Empowerment Publishing Company, impacting lives one reader at a time’,” said EX3 Books Publisher C. Nathaniel Brown. “Our books help people deal with difficult times in their lives and empower them to succeed. We want to take it a step further and help those who help others. This is one way for us to do that.”

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic Violence is a pattern of behavior used to establish power and control over another person through fear and intimidation, often including the threat or use of violence. According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 20 people are abused every minute in the United States.

A portion of sales from the 16 current titles, several of which were written by domestic violence survivors, and two additional titles that will be released in the month of October, will go to No Longer the Face, and Finding Faith Within Yourself, two organizations that provide services for domestic violence abuse victims and their families.

“As a domestic abuse survivor, I know how important it is for people who are abused to get the help they need,” said Sheila Bailey, founder of No Longer the Face. “We appreciate EX3 Books for partnering with us to help families impacted by domestic violence. This contribution will help us continue to bring awareness to what victims go through, help victims get out of dangerous situations, and provide a voice for survivors.”

Candi Eduardo, founder of Finding Faith Within Yourself, echoed those sentiments.

“When I was a victim of abuse, I didn’t know what resources were available or if I was able to talk to someone that has been through what I have gone through. I want to tell the world my story and let women know that if I can overcome what I have gone thru then anybody can,” said Eduardo, compiler of an upcoming anthology called Dethroning Domestic Violence. “I also want to help these
women find the resources they may need to get away from abuse and deal with the pain so they can go on to live wonderful lives.”
