1) After knowing the UPSC Syllabus for Anthropology, through past years and by checking it through the net, divide the entire Anthropology syllabus into small sections so that you can prepare each topic in detail without getting bogged down. For instance, as Paper-1 consists of Biological and Social-Political Anthropology you can prepare these topics first and Topics of Paper-2 are Indian Society and Tribal India, which are interrelated to each other would be better to prepare together.

2) Relate each chapter with the other, as all chapters are interrelated to each other, in this way it will be easier in remembering the topics.

3) Greenhorns should focus on practising more questions of physical anthropology where they can score more marks through diagrams as the questions are largely static.

4) Practice answers writing to score good marks. The more you will practice, the better you will get at it. It is best to mention the name of the researcher or anthropologist while citing something in your answers like any definition or criticism.
