A Once in a Lifetime Kruger National Park Big 5 Safari

Posted June 4, 2019 by krugertravel

Kruger Travel has launched a new Four Day Big 5 Safari in the Kruger National Park. This is a brilliant opportunity for overseas visitors to experience first-hand the adrenaline surge of an African wildlife safari.

The enticing package, which includes a Panorama Route tour to South African sightseeing hotspots, has been developed by Kruger Travel, an agency that has been catering to safari lovers for more than three decades.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become part of an action-packed three-night and four-day safari. The adventure begins on arrival at the OR Tambo International airport in Johannesburg. Visitors will be met by a tour guide and transported to Manyeleti Private Game Reserve. This vast unfenced reserve is adjacent to the Kruger National Park, as well as to the famous Sabi Sand and Timbavati game reserves.

Taking into consideration the fact that time spent on safari is precious, Kruger Travel has put together an itinerary that takes advantage of every precious minute of the day. On day one, guests will be checked into their rooms and served a light snack before setting off shortly before sunset on their first wildlife spotting adventure. After dinner, guests can relax around an open fire and share their day one experiences.

The following day, visitors are taken on a morning and late afternoon safari which is well off the usual tourist beaten track. The Manyeleti reserve, whose name means “place of the stars” in the local Shangaan language, covers 23 000ha of pristine bushveld. This is where the guides will seek to find the animals that comprise the famous Big 5 – lion, elephant, leopard, rhinoceros and buffalo. While spotting all five members of the Big 5 cannot be guaranteed, the knowledgeable park rangers and guides have a superlative success rate.

On day three, after a morning safari camp drive, visitors will be taken on a Panorama Route tour. Cameras will be clicking away on this not-to-be-missed sightseeing adventure which includes:

1.The Three Rondavels – these are three round mountains, similar in appearance to a traditional African hut. Visitors can enjoy spectacular views across the Blyde River Canyon.

2.God’s Window – The vista stretches all the way across to Mozambique and to the Kruger National Park. From here visitors can enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the Lowveld and the lush vegetation of the Blyde River Canyon.

3.Berlin and Lisbon Falls – these comprise some of the best waterfalls in this former gold-mining region when pilgrims to the area arrived with little more than a pick and an axe and hearts filled with dreams of wealth. The Lisbon Falls is the highest at 90m high and is named after the Portuguese capital. The Berlin Falls has an 80m drop into a deep and dark pool.

On the fourth and final day, visitors will be awakened at dawn for their last African bush safari adventure before being transported back to the airport.

This unforgettable safari holiday includes airport transfers, three night’s en-suite accommodation, two sunset and three-morning safari drives, a Panorama Route tour, brunch, afternoon snacks and dinners.

Kruger Travel is a reputable safari tour operator with a large variety of different holidays to suit all needs and budgets. Guests are offered a variety of accommodation options. They can choose to stay in luxury Kruger Park lodges or tented lodges or opt for a true bushveld experience sleeping in tents under the stars. Wildlife can be viewed from open 4x4 vehicles or, for the more adventurous safari-goer, on foot for that up-close-and-personal experience.

With more than 30 years of experience organising African safaris, Kruger Travel has partnered with only the best service providers. Safari adventurers are assured of top quality accommodation, superb cuisine, and attention to detail from park rangers and guides. Choosing a Kruger Travel safari package will undoubtedly create lasting memories of the wildlife and of the majesty of the vast African bushveld escarpment.
