Die offizielle Präsentation der neuen Geräte könnte während eines IFA-Events von Microsoft Anfang September über die Bühne gehen, der Marktstart soll allerdings erst etwas später im Oktober oder November erfolgen.Das chinesische Unternehmen OnePlus hat nun die seit Wochen kräftig beworbene Vorstellung eines Nachfolgers für das im letzten Jahr so überraschend erfolgreiche Smartphone OnePlus One vorgenommen. Das neue Flaggschiff-Modell des Herstellers trägt schlicht und einfach die Bezeichnung OnePlus 2 und soll am 11. August zu Kampfpreisen ab 340 Euro auf den Markt kommen. Wie schon der Vorgänger wird allerdings auch das OnePlus 2 zunächst nicht direkt zu kaufen sein, sondern nur nach Erhalt einer Einladung.

Damit sein neuestes Smartphone auch tatsächlich dem Prädikat Flaggschiff gerecht werden kann, haben die Chinesen dem OnePlus 2 eine leistungsfähige und moderne Hardware-Ausstattung spendiert, ohne dabei aber ins Extreme zu gehen - etwas das sicherlich eine Folge des aggressiv gesetzten Preispunktes ist. Das neue OnePlus-Modell bietet genau wie der Vorgänger in 5,5 Zoll großes LC-Display mit einer Auflösung von 1920 x 1080 Pixel (Full-HD), wartet nun aber auch mit einem physikalischen Home-Button auf, in dem sich ein Fingerabdrucksensor befindet, und einem USB-Anschluss vom noch ganz spärlich verbreiteten Typ-C auf.Angetrieben wird das OnePlus 2 von dem Octa-Core-Prozessor Snapdragon 810 von Qualcomm in der Version 2.1, den der Hersteller explizit frei von jedweden Hitzeproblemen spricht. In der Grundausstattung verfügt das Smartphone davon abgesehen über 3 Gigabyte RAM und 16 Gigabyte Flash-Speicher, der sich nicht via microSD-Karte erweitern lässt. Es wird allerdings zum Preis von 399 Euro auch noch eine zweite Modellvariante des OnePlus 2 geben, die über satte 4 Gigabyte RAM und 64 Gigabyte internen Speicher verfügt. Für lange Laufzeiten soll in beiden Ausführungen ein 3300-mAh-Akku sorgen. Das 175 Gramm schwere Gerät beheimatet in seinem Chassis außerdem zwei Nano-SIM-Steckplätze, ein LTE-Modem sowie Module für WLAN nach 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 und GPS. Auf einen NFC-Chip hat OnePlus ebenso verzichtet wie auf die Integration der Qi-Technologie zum drahtlosen Aufladen.

Wann das vermeintliche Galaxy S6 Mini vorgestellt wird konnte der Tippgeber PhoneArena leider ebenso wenig verraten. Wir stimmen aber mit der Publikation überein, dass es nicht verwunderlich wäre, wenn das Smartphone ebenfalls im Rahmen eines laut Gerüchteküche für den 13. August 2015 angesetzten Samsung-Events präsentiert werden würde. Vor einigen Wochen sickerte bereits durch, dass auf dieser Veranstaltung das Galaxy Note 5 sowie das oben erwähnte Galaxy S6 Edge Plus enthüllt werden. Samsung selbst hat bislang aber weder den Termin des Events noch die Existenz der genannten Geräte bestätigt.Ein kürzlich erschienener Bericht legt erneut nahe, dass Sony das Xperia Z5 bereits im September offiziell vorstellen wird. Das neue Flaggschiff-Smartphones des japanischen Elektronikriesen soll über ein 5,5 Zoll großes Display verfügen und so kurz nach dem Xperia Z3+ auf den Markt kommen, um direkt gegen die neue Apple iPhone Generation sowie Samsungs kommende Premium-Modelle Galaxy Note 5 und Galaxy S6 Edge Plus anzutreten.
